Ingredients
2 cups hot water
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (with the “mother”)
1 tablespoon butterfly pea flowers
1 teaspoon yerba mate (optional for caffeine)
½ teaspoon grated ginger or ginger extract
Juice of ½ a lemon
½ teaspoon camu camu powder (optional)
1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1-Bring 2 cups of water to a near boil.
2-Add butterfly pea flowers and yerba mate. Let steep for 5 minutes.
3-Strain out the solids into a mug or pitcher.
4-Stir in grated ginger, lemon juice, and camu camu powder.
5-Let the mixture cool slightly, then add apple cider vinegar.
6-Sweeten with honey and add cinnamon or cayenne if desired.
7-Serve hot or pour over ice. Garnish with mint leaves. Enjoy!
Notes
-For a 3-ingredient version: use butterfly pea flowers, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar only.
-Skip yerba mate for a caffeine-free bedtime version.
